Manual Therapy
Because we go beyond "just exercise" -
we aim to help you feel better, faster.
Manual interventions generally are used to address pain but may also affect how well you can recruit or engage musculature. As with virtually everything in medicine and healthcare, there is some mixed evidence, but a great deal of literature has been published showing the benefits of manual therapy for things like neck pain, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprains, hip and knee osteoarthritis, plantarfasciitis, rotator cuff-related shoulder pain, and more. With the only board-certified Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists in the Western Tidewater and 1 of only 35 in the state of Virginia (as of July 2023), we're here and ready to help!
